Woman assaults daughter’s boyfriend for not going to work

51-year-old Sheryl Brinson was charged with domestic assault after police say she attacked her daughter’s boyfriend because he didn’t go to work, per report.

On November 13th, Clarksville Police Department Officer Marvin Carnagey arrived at the residence of 429 Glenn Street in response to a domestic violence call. Benjamin Maldonado reported that he and his girlfriend’s mother, Sheryl Brinson, had been arguing over him not going to work.

Benjamin stated that Sheryl pushed him, then hit him which caused bruising to the side of his neck. Ariel Williams, Benjamin’s girlfriend, stated she was attempting to hold her mother back to stop her from hitting him.

Sheryl Brinson was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was released on a $250 bond.
