Alesha Perry was observed traveling at 80 MPH in a 45 MPH zone by Officer Horton and the rate of speed was confirmed by radar detection. Officer Horton conducted a traffic stop but in the event of the traffic stop, Alesha turned left onto Hermitage Drive and hit the curb before coming to a stop at the Shell Gas Station on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Once Officer Horton made contact with Alesha, who was operating the vehicle at the time of the incident, he could smell the odor of alcohol coming from her person. Alesha was then asked to step out of the vehicle to perform a standard field sobriety test to which she complied and then performed poorly. While Officer Horton attempted to arrest Alesha she continuously resisted but was eventually taken into custody and transported to booking. While being processed she consented to a breath test which read .164 BAC. It is stated in the affidavit that Alesha was driving in a reckless manner and did not have a valid driver’s license.
