Disoriented man at Walmart found with methamphetamine

61-year-old Calvin Reece was arrested on an outstanding DUI warrant, and a new methamphetamine charge after a welfare check was conducted at the Walmart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on January 4th.

On January 4th, Officer Spain responded to a welfare check at the local Walmart shopping center located on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Upon arrival, Officer Joshua Spain made contact with Calvin Reece[fb] who was unsure of what he was doing, according to an incident report.

After running a check through NCIC, it was discovered that Calvin did have an active warrant pertaining to a DUI charge. While conducting a search incident to arrest, a single bag of what is believed to be methamphetamine was discovered in Calvin’s front pocket of his pants. After the search, Calvin was placed under arrest for his warrant and methamphetamine charge and transported to booking.

Calvin Reece is charged with DUI and methamphetamine possession and is currently jailed in lieu of a $4000.00 bond.
