Hopkinsville woman charged with DUI after 2 margaritas at Mexican restaurant

57-year-old Rebecca Greenwell was charged with driving under the influence when officers were called to a reckless driver on Tiny Town Road. She told police she had two margaritas and chicken at a Mexican restaurant and blew a .167 on a breathalyzer.

On March 21st around 9:30 p.m., Officer Robinson was called to 408 Tiny Town Road in response to reckless driving. According to the affidavit, when he arrived he observed a vehicle that was swerving out of the lane. When asked to present her credentials Rebecca Greenwell attempted to give the officer her bank card, ultimately she could not locate her insurance and registration.

Ms. Greenwell told authorities that she had been to a Mexican restaurant and had two margaritas and a chicken dish. The report also states that she was wearing a pink shirt and black vest with white tennis shoes. She agreed to field sobriety examination and performed exceptionally poorly in at least 3 portions repeatedly steadying herself on the police vehicle. Her consensual breath sample measured .167.

Rebecca Greenwell was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and her bond was set at $2,500.
