feat Brown, Ladairius

19-year-old Ladairius Brown was charged with reckless endangerment after he told officers he accidentally shot his rifle through the ceiling of the apartment below while cleaning it, then avoided the apartment complex when officers arrived.

On August 18th, Officer Lawrence was dispatched to 735 Heritage Point Circle and spoke with Glendara McFarland. Ms. McFarland advised that she was laying in her bed when she heard a “pop” and noticed a hole in the ceiling of her apartment. She stated that shortly after the noise she heard footsteps and the door of the apartment above her close.

Officer Lawrence discovered a bullet hole in the ceiling approximately 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Officers on the scene contacted Darwin Pulley the documented renter of the next floor apartment. Ms. Pulley told police that her nephew, Ladairius Brown, had been cleaning his gun when the firearm discharged into the floor.

He also confessed that he was avoiding the complex because there were a lot of officers gathered at the location.

Ladairius Brown was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, and his bond was set at $5,000.
