Springfield man charged after narcotics detected by K-9 PSD Riggs

33-year-old Keith Story was charged with possession of meth, heroin, fentanyl, naloxone hydrochloride, and paraphernalia after an officer stopped him for possible impaired driving and a police dog indicated drugs.

On July 3rd, Clarksville Police Officer Alquzweeni stopped a Buick driven by Keith Story at the McDonald’s on 792 North 2nd Street, due to the suspicion of intoxicated driving. According to the affidavit, Story told the officer his car’s tires were low on air which may have caused him to swerve. Officer Alquzweeni noted Story had impaired speech and watery eyes.

Officer Weaver deployed Police Service Dog Riggs whose reaction prompted a “probable cause” search. The search yielded a small bag of methamphetamine, a container of purple heroin/fentanyl, three naloxone hydrochloride pills, four cut down straws, metal straw, scale, needle, and tweezers. The report states that Keith Story claimed ownership of these items.

Keith Story was arrested and charged with possession of meth, heroin, fentanyl, naloxone hydrochloride, and paraphernalia. He is jailed in lieu of a $12,500 bond.
