Southside man charged after stating “I’m going to beat your a– old man”

20-year-old Jacob Chester was charged with domestic assault when he told officers he had stated “I’m going to beat your a– old man” to a male he lives with. The man added he was afraid because Chester threatened to shoot him. No gun was recovered.

On April 30th, Montgomery County Sheriff Officer William Baker responded to a domestic incident at 4895 Devers Road. According to the affidavit, Jacob Chester told them that he told a male he lives with at the residence “I am going to beat your ass old man.” The victim corroborated but also added that Chester threatened to shoot him. No weapons were found but the male said the statement placed him in fear.

On May 4th, Jacob Chester was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $500.
