59-year old Isaac Edgin and 62-year-old Robert Edgin were both charged with aggravated assault. Isaac and Robert were the victim’s fiancé’s father and uncle. Isaac hit him in the head with a metal bat and Robert strangled him.
On August 20th, Deputy Cody Evans responded to a call of an assault in progress at 1231 Southside Road. When the officer arrived on the scene, contact was made with Nathaniel Northington. He stated his fiancé’s uncle and father assaulted him. Northington and several witnesses stated when he arrived at the residence Robert and Isaac Edgin began calling him racial slurs and told him to get out of their house.
Northington and witnesses also advised Evans that during the argument Isaac struck Northington in the head with a metal bat. When he tried to defend himself against Isaac, Robert began to aggressively strangle him cutting off his breathing. All parties live at the same address in which this incident took place.
Isaac Edgin and Robert Edgin were both arrested for aggravated assault. Their bonds were set at $15,000 each.
