Retiree pins nephew to the ground over money dispute

46-year-old Lorenze Peterson was charged with domestic assault after repeatedly punching his nephew over money.

On October 2nd, Clarksville Police Department Officer Eller arrived at 602 Bay Lane in response to a domestic assault call. The nephew of Lorenze Peterson told police they had gotten into an argument over money.

He stated Peterson pushed him into the couch and hit him five or six times, then they ended up on the ground and his uncle pinned him down. Peterson claimed that his nephew provoked him and initiated the physical confrontation. He also told officers he was punched “a couple of times” and his nephew had his arm around Peterson’s throat. A witness at the home confirmed it was Peterson who started the altercation.

Lorenze Peterson was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
