20-year-old Davion Barker was charged with aggravated assault and simple possession of marijuana after he pinned the child’s mother against the wall by her throat.
On October 19th, Clarksville Police Officer Otten responded to 1226 Verkler Drive, Davion’s residence, in regards to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Jordan Pendergrass, the mother of Davion’s child, stated that she was on the couch changing the baby’s diaper when Davion started yelling at her and slamming doors in the house.
She stated that he grabbed her phone out of her hand and when she took it back he pushed her onto the couch. She advised that he followed her into the bedroom and pinned her against the wall by her throat. Jordan said that she did not lose consciousness, but she could not breathe. She stated that when he let go she went to the bathroom, locked the door, and called 911. When officers spoke with Davion, he had a blunt behind his left ear.
Davion Barker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and simple possession of marijuana. He was released on a $3,000 bond.
