21-year-old Rachel Hampton was charged with domestic assault after her boyfriend claimed she attacked him and showed video footage of her kicking him, punching him, and whacking him with a black drainage pipe to police.
On October 21st, Clarksville Police Officer Tyler Eller responded to a domestic call at 13 Avalon Street. When officers arrived, they came into contact with Joey Hall who stated that he and Rachel Hampton, his girlfriend, had been arguing all day. He reported that his girlfriend kicked him, punched him, and hit him with a drainage pipe.
Hall showed officers a video corroborating the story. Officers witnessed her punching, kicking, and hitting him with the pipe in the video. Hampton told officers she was being provoked by her boyfriend and got angry with him. She also added that she had taken one Xanax that day.
Rachel Hampton was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
