Feat Sanders Deion

24-year-old Deion Jarmane Sanders was charged with aggravated domestic assault, vandalism, and interference with emergency calls after strangling his wife when she attempted to talk to him about staying out all night, and he smashed her phone when she attempted to call authorities.

On October 27th, Clarksville Police Officer Zachary Goodall responded to domestic violence with a simple assault call located at 53 Ladd Drive. Upon arrival at the scene, Officer Goodall came into contact with Deion Sanders who refused to comment on the incident that occurred. Keandna Sanders, who identified herself as Deion’s wife, told Officer Goodall that she had confronted Deion because he had stayed out all night. She then stated that when she confronted him, Sanders put his hands around her next and began to strangle her. Deion proceeded to yell at her that “he could do what he wanted and stay out whenever he wanted.” Keandna stated that she was able to push him off of her. He then proceeded to ransack the apartment, throwing things around and punched a couple of holes in a utility door.

When attempting to call the police and on the phone with call intake, Keandna told the officer that Deion took the phone from her hand and threw it on the ground then walked outside. Officer Goodall noted the visible damage to the apartment, as well as holes in the utility door. He also observed scratch marks on the right side of her neck. Based upon the physical evidence, as well as statements made by Mrs. Sanders, Deion was concluded to be the primary aggressor and detained. Mrs. Sanders also stated to Officer Goodall that Deion had active warrants, which was later confirmed.

Deion Jarmane Sanders was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and interference with emergency calls. He is currently jailed in lieu of an $8,000 bond.
