Man steals car and cell after friend takes him to a party

25-year-old Davon D. Jackson was charged with theft of property after one of his friends woke up to find his Dodge and his cell phone missing after the two had spent the previous night together partying.

On October 4th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Dale BeCraft was flagged down outside of the Sheriff’s Office at 120 Commerce Street by Mr. Quenton Agee. Agee informed the officer that his 2007 Dodge Nitro had been stolen from his address, 971 Calvert Drive. Agee stated he picked up Davon Jackson from 1793 Patricia Drive, and they went back to his residence to drink and party.

Agee explained he fell asleep at around 11:00 p.m. and woke up around 6:00 a.m. to find his phone, keys, and car missing. He did not give Jackson permission to take his things and told Deputy BeCraft that he would prosecute. Deputy BeCraft found Jackson’s Tennessee driver’s license in their system and Agee positively identified Jackson in the license picture. Local officers and deputies attempted to locate the vehicle and contact Jackson but were unsuccessful. A warrant was then put out for his arrest. He was later served by Officer Heather Hill of the Clarksville Police Department and taken into custody.

Davon D. Jackson was arrested and charged with theft of property valued $2,500-$10,000. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
