Man doesn’t have license, doesn’t have tags, but does have meth

46-year-old William Gregory Neal was charged with possession of meth, paraphernalia, driving while revoked, and registration laws after police conducted a stop on a car with plates that didn’t match and found needles and pink powder.

On October 6th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kevin Padilla conducted a traffic stop on a red Pontiac Grand Prix due to the tag coming back to a different vehicle. When asked to produce a license, William Gregory Neal stated he didn’t have one, and he had just purchased the vehicle.

Neal was asked to step out of the vehicle and asked if there was anything in the vehicle the officers should know about. Neal said no, and gave consent to search the vehicle as Officer Swaffer and his police service dog arrived on scene to conduct an open-air sniff of the car. Officer Swaffer’s dog gave a positive indication on the driver’s and passenger’s doors. The car was then searched due to probable cause and multiple hypodermic syringes and a pink powder substance were found, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

William Gregory Neal was arrested and charged with possession of meth, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on revoked license, and not registering a vehicle before operation. He is currently being jailed in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
