Man rams car into family vehicle with children in the back seat

24-year-old Tony Collins was charged with four counts of reckless endangerment and burglary of a motor vehicle after following a family and ramming his vehicle into the rear end of their car.

On August 23rd, Officer Sutton was dispatched to a road rage incident. Danni Bennett dialed 911 and advised that two vehicles were tailing her family following an altercation at a different location. While she was on the phone with dispatchers, she reported that one of the vehicles rammed the rear bumper of her car. Danni stated that she stopped her vehicle and Tony Collins, the driver of the gray Dodge Charger, exited the car.

Tony then struck her husband, Mykeal Bennett, with a closed fist through the open front passenger window. Officer Sutton noted in his report that Mykeal had minor swelling and a small laceration to his right cheek from the alleged assault. At the time of the incident, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett had their two minor children in the vehicle as well. Officers also noted that there was a gray Dodge Charger at the scene with front end damage and that the rear bumper of the Bennett’s vehicle was damaged as well.

Tony Collins was arrested and charged with four counts of reckless endangerment and burglary of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $45,000.
