22-year-old Kobe Morgan was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful carry of a weapon after he pulled a gun on his ex-girlfriend while she was holding their child.
On September 15th, CPD Officer Steinmetz was dispatched to a domestic violence call at 142 Hadley Drive. Upon the officer’s arrival contact was made with Shnita Lee who stated that her friend was in an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Kobe Morgan over their son. She stated Morgan was holding the child and her friend took the child out of Morgan’s arms.
It was at this point Morgan became upset and pulled a pistol out of his pocket and racked it and pointed it at the victim as she was holding the child. Contact was then made with the girlfriend and she stated that she did not see a gun and was inside when the altercation occurred. Upon speaking with Morgan, he was asked if he had anything on his person and he stated that he had a gun in his pocket. The F.I.E. .25 caliber pistol was then retrieved from Morgan.
Kobe Morgan was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful carry of a weapon. His bond was set at $25,000.
