Man pulls girlfriend out of car and punches her in face, charged with aggravated assault

60-year-old Michael Ramey was charged with aggravated assault after he pulled his girlfriend out of a car and punched her in the face, per report.

On March 20th, Officer Doss was dispatched to 108 Edmondson Ferry Pike in reference to a domestic assault with COR. Upon arrival, Shawna Hutson told officers she was sitting in her car when boyfriend Michael Ramey pulled her out.

She went on to say after that happened, Michael started punching her in the face. Officers noted a bloody bruise under Shawna’s right eye. According to the affidavit, Michael told officers that he did not hit Shawna and he ran away when he saw her.

Officers noted that Shawna did not complete a written statement because she was intoxicated. Additionally, officers searched Michael’s name through NCIC and discovered him to have 2 active COR’s on file with Shawna.

Michael Ramey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $10,000. He was additionally charged with two counts of contempt for a total bond of $350,000.
