During the search, officers found a Newport box that contained suspected methamphetamine. After Larry was Mirandized, he admitted the methamphetamine belonged to him. Officers noted they also found in the Newport box a pill that was scored C2.

A field test was conducted and the substance tested positive for methamphetamines with a preliminary weight in excess of 0.5 grams. The pill scored C2 was identified using the Drug Identification Bible 2015/2016 as Clonazepam, which is a Schedule IV controlled substance. During a search of Larry’s person, officers also found $900 and a cell phone.

Larry Hopkins was arrested and charged with possession of meth and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. His bond was set at $10,000.
