Man mangles roommate’s costly book during blowout over eviction

55-year-old Patrick Hawkins was charged with vandalism after his roommate reported finding her book, which was worth hundreds, in shreds in his room.

On October 23rd, Clarksville Police Officer Thomas arrived at the residence of 125 Timber Ridge Drive in response to a vandalism call.

Patrick Hawkins’ roommate stated that she had a book valued at $300 which she last saw at 6 a.m. that morning. When she got back home around 4 p.m., she didn’t see her book or shoes. Reportedly, she walked into Patrick’s room and found her shoes and her book which had several pages torn from it. She claimed that Patrick was angry about an upcoming eviction.

Patrick Hawkins was arrested and charged with vandalism. He was released on a $2,500 bond.
