Man charged for stalking woman he met just two weeks prior

33-year-old Justin Lehman was charged with stalking when a woman that he met less than two weeks ago reported to police that he had sent her numerous text messages, stopped by her house late at night, and showed up at her job despite being told to stop.

On August 27th, Clarksville Police Department Officer Joffer arrived at Whitt’s Barbecue at 2030 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to speak to Cassie Shawver, who told police that she met Justin Lehman about two weeks ago through a mutual friend and then he began texting and calling her excessively.

Though she had asked him multiple times to stop, he continued and then showed police that she had 15 messages from him that began on August 24th. He then showed up to her house numerous times late at night before showing up to Whitt’s where she works on the 27th. These actions have placed her in such a fear for her safety that she had her children stay with her parents. While police were speaking to Shawver taking her statement, Lehman texted her four times.

Justin Lehman was arrested and charged with stalking. His bond was set at $2,500.
