Man charged after whomping girlfriend’s head and biting her

22-year-old Mark Coward was charged with domestic assault after he hit his girlfriend in the head and bit her on the shoulder blade, breaking the skin.

On October 26th, Clarksville Police Officer Skidmore was dispatched to the Travelodge Inn,3100 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, in regard to a domestic assault. Officer Skidmore spoke with Alyssa Morales, who stated that she and her boyfriend, Mark Coward, were in an argument and he hit her in the head and bit her on the left shoulder blade.

The officer did report a red mark on her face and teeth marks cut into the skin on her left shoulder blade. Mark was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody. Through further investigation, it was found that Alyssa and Mark had a previous domestic assault case dated August 18th where Alyssa was the aggressor. The case was disposed of on October 16th. Mark Coward was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $1,500 bond.
