Man charged after telling police he hit his wife because she tried to hit him first

35-year-old Joshua Crowder was charged with domestic assault after he reportedly threw “an unknown object” at his wife’s head, and reported to officers that she initially threw the object.

Brown stated that Crowder threw an unknown object at her head, which caused visible swelling on her head. Officer Hickmon talked to Crowder and he said that Brown there the object first, but it missed. Brown then stated that she did not throw anything at Crowder. Both of them had consumed alcohol, and Crowder was found to be the primary aggressor, according to the police. There have been three prior domestic-related charges where Dung Brown was the victim.

Joshua Crowder was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He has since been released on a $5,000 bond.
