Man charged after putting $750 of Target merchandise in branded bags and leaving

29-year-old Travis Spicer was charged with theft after he stole video games and movies from Target with their shopping bags for a total of $750 in merchandise.

On November 9th, Clarksville Police Officer Goodman arrived at Target, 2823 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, in response to a theft call. Upon arrival, Loss Prevention reported two men entered the store and put several video games and movies in Target shopping bags. Loss Prevention informed the officer that the men then exited the store and left in a red Infiniti sedan.

Officer Goodman stated after he reached the store, he witnessed the car leaving the parking lot. According to the report, he followed the car to a traffic light and initiated a traffic stop. Loss Prevention confirmed it was the vehicle and that the items inside were stolen. Travis Spicer was asked to exit the vehicle. The movies and games were valued at approximately $750.

Travis Spicer was arrested and charged with theft. He pled guilty to his charge and was sentenced to six months of jail time, but is currently out on probation.
