Man busts into his child’s mother’s apartment and fights with her boyfriend

36-year-old Derrick Williams was charged with aggravated burglary after he pushed his way into his child’s mother’s apartment and then fought with her boyfriend.

On September 6th, Officer Joffer was called to 220 Needmore Road in response to an aggravated burglary. Upon arrival, authorities spoke with Jamie Vukelich who told officers she was at home with her boyfriend, Deon Olinger, and her son when Williams texted her saying he was going to come over and get his son. Vukelich told Williams not to come, but he came anyway and started banging on the door.

When Vukelich opened the door slightly, Williams pushed the door open and into her chest. Vukelich started to hit him in self-defense and told him to leave, but he would not. Vukelich went to the balcony to get away, Williams attempted to follow but Olinger stepped in and pushed him away. They ended up fighting on the ground until Olinger pushed Williams out of the door. He left the scene but returned when officers arrived. He denied ever touching Vukelich, and there were no physical signs of assault on her, but there was damage to Olinger’s ear and finger.

Derrick Williams was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $15,000.
