Man blows .172 after police see him driving into oncoming traffic

51-year-old Sean Fogarty was charged with driving under the influence after he was seen by police driving into oncoming traffic.

On December 6th, Clarksville Police Officer Ronald Brown responded to a possible intoxicated driver on Trenton Road. Brown noted the vehicle turned onto Pea Ridge Road. Upon turning, the vehicle moved into the oncoming traffic lane. At this point, a traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Sean Fogarty.

Sean was described as having bloodshot eyes, heavily slurred speech, and a strong alcoholic odor. Brown informed Sean of his reason for pulling him over and asked whether he had been drinking. Sean replied, “oh yeah”. He was then asked if he wished to do a field sobriety test to ensure he could drive. Sean declined but agreed to give a breathalyzer sample which read .172. Sean had no prior history of a DUI.

Sean Fogarty was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was later released on a $1,500 bond.
