Woman blocks ex-husband’s vehicle, opens fire on him and his date

49-year-old Tanya Edmond was charged with assault after her ex-husband claimed she blocked him in an intersection and fired shots at his car when she found out he was seeing other people.

On December 4th, Clarksville Police Officer Trisha Beveridge responded to a report of shots fired at Tiny Town Road and Peachers Mill Road. The shots fired were between a red Hyundai Sonata and a black Chrysler 300. Officer Beveridge made contact with the driver of the Chrysler, Marvin Edmond. He told police he was exiting the Renaissance Apartments on Peachers Mill when his ex-wife, Tanya Edmond, pulled up.

She was in a Hyundai Sonata and blocked him from leaving the intersection and began to shoot at his vehicle. Melissa Johnson, who was a passenger in his vehicle, recounted the same events of the assault. Marvin believed she shot at his vehicle because she found out he was dating. Tanya fled the scene prior to Officer Beveridge’s arrival.

On December 5th, Tanya Edmond was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. She was later released on a $25,000 bond.
