Hopkinsville man defeated after drug call and shoplifting investigation

52-year-old Michael Myhill was charged with possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, order of protection violation, and theft of merchandise when officers investigating a drug call and shoplifting incident found him with suspected weed in a vehicle with no license plate.

On July 28th, Clarksville Police Officer Jon Williams was dispatched to 274 Big Sky Drive in regard to drugs. According to the affidavit, the officers were also investigating a shoplifting incident during the drug call. Michael Myhill was found in a green Nissan Xterra that was missing the license plate.

The authorities were searching his vehicle for stolen merchandise when they discovered two glass smoking apparatus bearing residue. They also uncovered a green leafy substance that tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol. The report also mentions that Myhill was booked “due to having out of state addresses”.

Michael Myhill was arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, theft of merchandise, and violation of an order of protection. His bond was set at $11,000.
