32-year-old Frances Chonje was charged with domestic assault after slapping her husband in the face twice and attempting to wallop him with a space heater during an argument.
On October 29th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Oganeku dispatched to the residence of Frances and Gilbert Chonje located at 4046 Sawmill Road Woodlawn, TN in regards to a domestic violence incident.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Gilbert who advised that he and his wife got into an argument and it turned physical. He stated that when she slapped him in the face twice he used his left foot to push her off of him. She reportedly then swung a space heater at him which he blocked with his forearm. There were no physical injuries and the household had no prior history of domestic violence. Frances was determined to be the primary aggressor.
Frances Chonje was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was released on a $250 bond.
