DWI: Soldier found slumped over behind wheel, admits to doing cocaine, weed, and alcohol.

19-year-old soldier Tre Antony Thomas is charged with underage driving while impaired after Clarksville police found him slumped over in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. They were eventually able to awaken him, at which time he advised he had consumed cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol, earlier in the evening.

Clarksville Police Officer Kevin Westover was on patrol at 5:15 a.m. on January 5th when contact was made with Tre Antony Thomas, who appeared to be asleep and slumped over in the driver’s seat of a running black Nissan Rogue on Centennial Blvd. After multiple failed attempts to wake Thomas, he eventually came to but remained in a state of confusion, according to officers.

Thomas was unable to tell officers where he was, or how he had arrived there, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Officers observed an open can of Natural Light beer in the center cup holder. According to an arrest warrant, Thomas told officers he had been drinking alcohol, had snorted a line of cocaine, and smoked some marijuana.

Officers placed Tre Antony Thomas into custody and charged him with underage driving while impaired. He was transported to Tennova for a blood draw upon consent, and then to the Montgomery County Jail. He is free on a $2500 bond via 2nd Chance Bonding.
