36-year-old Brittani Barnes was charged with four counts of shoplifting after she was caught shoplifting from Target on multiple occasions where her preferred method is to conceal unpaid merchandise and mix it in with a few items that she does purchase.
On August 21st, 2019, Brittani Barnes walked into the Target store located in Clarksville, TN. Barnes selected merchandise off of the sales floor and concealed some of the previously selected items under newly selected ones. Barnes then proceeded to check out some of the items in her cart, while failing to scan the concealed merchandise. Barns then left the store with both the paid and unpaid items totaling to approximately $1008.67.
She did the same thing on July 23rd when she selected items and attempted to conceal them into large bags. She then proceeded to self-checkout where she would scan and pay for a few items but skipped over $386.71 worth of other items. She was then able to leave the store.
On August 4th, Brittani Barnes was arrested and charged with four counts of shoplifting. Her total bond was set at $9,500.
