Clarksville man reported for reckless driving on Franklin Street

25-year-old Carlos Herrera-Perez was charged with public intoxication after 911 dispatch received a call about a reckless driver in a blue Mazda on Franklin Street.

On March 6th, authorities were alerted to a reckless driver operating a blue Mazda sedan at 117 Franklin Street. Officer David Moore located the vehicle and Carlos Perez was in the driver seat with the engine running.

According to the affidavit, Carlos advised the officer he was on his way to Tarboosh. Officer Moore noted there was a strong odor of intoxicant on Carlos’s person and he seemed disoriented. The officer asked Carlos to step out of the vehicle and noted that he needed to use the vehicle for support and was very unsteady on his feet. Officer Moore then asked if he consumed any alcohol and Carlos admitted to drinking one margarita. Officer Moore determined Carlos to be a danger to himself due to his level of intoxication.

Carlos Herrera-Perez was arrested and charged with public intoxication. His bond was set at $439.
