Teen shows up in court as victim, leaves a suspect after backpedaling story

19-year-old Keilexus Goldthreate was charged with filing a false report after admitting to the District Attorney that she lied about a domestic assault against her because she was mad.

On July 8th, 2019, while at General Sessions court Keilexus Goldthreate told District Attorney Robert Koewler that she no longer wanted to press charges for a domestic assault case being heard that day. Keilexus admitted to DA Koewler, while in the presence of Officer T. Halford and victim advocate Andrea Tennyson, that she lied about an assault that was reported on June 1st, 2019. Keilexus also admitted that she maliciously corroborated her story with a witness, identified as Lobato in the affidavit, that agreed to “go along with her story”.

DA Koewler cautioned Keilexus in regard to filing false reports, but she adamantly maintained the assault had not occurred and that she reported it in vengeance. Based on statements recorded at both incidents and body camera evidence, it was determined that Keilexus Goldthreate filed a false report.

On March 7th, Keilexus Goldthreate was arrested and charged with false reports. Her bond was set at $10,000.
