Clarksville man admits to drinking heavily; charged with public intoxication

56-year-old Jerry Pace was charged with public intoxication when officers found him unconscious at South 3rd and Commerce and he told them he had been drinking heavily.

On August 18th, Clarksville Police Officer Hankins was dispatched to a public intoxication at South 3rd and Commerce Street. Jerry Pace was located at the intersection and found unconscious. Pace admitted to officers that he had been drinking heavily.

He had red bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on his feet, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Pace was determined to be intoxicated to a point where he would be a danger to himself.

Jerry Pace was arrested and charged with public intoxication and is jailed in lieu of a $439 bond.
