Bomb squad sent out when stalker secures metal sign and clock to mailbox

39-year-old Jonathan Hoover was charged driving on a suspended license, aggravated stalking, and 9 counts of violation of protection after harassing a woman by mail and strapping a sign with a clock taped to it to her mailbox.

On October 5th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Jones responded to a call from Deidra Gingrinch who saw Johnathan Hoover throw a bag containing books, tape, and child’s toy into her yard. Deputy Jones arrived at Shady Grove Apartments located at 1079 Shady Grove Road.

Hoover was seen on camera driving a blue and white Suzuki. Hoover was photographed stringing up a metal sign with a clock taped to it on Gingrinch’s mailbox. The sign was suspicious enough that the bomb squad was called in to investigate. Hoover has sent hundreds of letters to Ms. Gingrinch, which include “dangerous affections” and “threats of kidnapping,” despite her having an order of protection against him.

Jonathan Hoover was charged driving on a suspended license, stalking, and 9 counts of violation of protection. He is currently jailed in lieu of $110,000 bond.
