Erika’s husband told police it happened because they were having marital problems and that she bit him twice when he took her phone and refused to give it back. Erika Mathis denied biting her husband and stated that it was only verbal, but did admit to grabbing him while trying to get her phone back. Officer Johnson noted red marks on the victim’s chest where he said he was bitten.

Erika Ann Mathis was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $250.
