Woman with open container “parks car” in the side of an apartment building

33-year-old Heather Nicole Hoersten was charged with driving under the influence and open container law violation after she was observed sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that crashed into an apartment complex.

On September 28th, Clarksville Police Department Officer Brendan Davis responded to a crash at 2190 Memorial Drive in Ashford Place Apartments. Officer Davis observed Heather Hoersten was in the driver’s seat of a car that had crashed into one of the complex buildings.

He also noted Hoersten appeared disoriented and could not recall the collision, as well as an open alcoholic beverage in the passenger side of the vehicle. Hoersten admitted to consuming about three seltzer drinks before driving. She also agreed to a field sobriety test, in which she performed poorly. After being read the Implied Consent Law, she also agreed to provide blood samples for testing.

Heather Hoersten was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and open container law violation. Her bond was set at $3,000.
