After approaching the vehicle, he noticed Travis Gaskin asleep in the driver seat. Before waking up Gaskin, Officer Oakley noticed a plastic bag he presumed to contain marijuana sticking out of his front pocket. This gave enough cause for a probable cause search, led to Officer Oakley finding 3.26 grams of marijuana on Gaskin’s person and an open cigarillo package. After checking NGIG, the vehicle in Gaskin’s possession was found to be stolen, and Gaskin was shown for having local active warrants. The vehicle was given back to the owner after he arrived at the location, and Gaskin was taken into custody.

Travis Gaskin was arrested and charged with theft of property, simple possession of marijuana, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $35,000 bond.
