Mom knocks hat off son’s head, tries to strangle him, and tells him to get out

60-year-old Christie Mills was charged with aggravated domestic assault after she knocked her son’s hat off his head, tried to strangle him, and told him to get out of the house.

On September 14th, Officer Brendon Davis responded to a domestic call at 2685 Windwood Court. Devin Mills told Officer Davis that he was in an altercation with his mother, Christie Mills. Devin stated that his mother, who was very intoxicated, had knocked his hat off of his head which was shown to Officer Davis from a video that was obtained. Devin then stated that Christie grabbed his throat with both of her hands and told him to get out of the house.

Devin did not have any visible marks on his neck and stated that the incident never restricted his ability to breathe. Christie told Officer Davis that she wasn’t involved in an altercation and had a difficult time answering questions. She was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.

Christie Mills was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. Her bond was set at $5,000.
