Man pulled over for tail light gets charged with possession of meth

27-year-old Johnny Ison was charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia, simple possession, and methamphetamine violation after officers pulled his vehicle over for a broken tail light.

On February 23rd, Officer Knoblock with the Clarksville Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a white Chevy Silverado at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Morris Road due to a non-working tail light. Officers made contact with Johnny Ison and Dwight Rodgers, the driver of the vehicle.

Upon making contact, Officer Price noticed the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers found a bag that contained three smaller baggies of suspected methamphetamine, a bottle that contained 13 white pills with the RP 10/325 and M367, and a cut straw.

A test of the substance was conducted using the TruNarc drug identifier, which produced a positive result for methamphetamine with a weight of 3.5 grams. The white pills marked RP 10/325 were identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride and the pills marked M367 were identified as Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. All three are Schedule II Controlled Substances.

Johnny Ison was arrested and charged with Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Possession, and Methamphetamine Violation. His bond was set at $55,000.
