22-year-old Demond Adams was charged with child abuse and neglect after his wife reported to police that she left him home with their 3-year-old daughter and shortly after, was seen walking down Ringgold Road and had left the child at home unattended.
On March 20th, officers were dispatched to 300 Ringgold Road Apt 307. Upon arrival, Tiffany Adams reported that she went to her sister’s house and left her husband Demond Adams at home with their 3-year-old daughter.
Tiffany said Demond was drinking before she left. She tried calling him several times, but Demond did not answer. As she was driving home, she saw Demond walking down Ringgold Road heading towards Fort Campbell Boulevard and he was wearing his sandals and house robe.
According to the affidavit, Tiffany allowed officers to view text messages to Demond and there were no statements made that she would be returning to their residence. Demond left their residence and their 3-year-old daughter was left unattended in her bedroom.
Demond Adams was arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect. His bond was set at $20,000.
