Escapee who never returned to jail after rehab found at Exit 4 motel

33-year-old Stacy Sue Brooks was charged with escape, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation when she was discharged from a rehab program she was granted a furlough to but did not return to jail. She was later found at a motel off exit 4.

On May 26th, Stacy Brooks was charged with escaping from a rehabilitation program at Oxford House Rehab in Nashville on May 21st. Brooks was granted a furlough to participate in rehab under the premise that she would return to the Montgomery County Jail upon completion.

On May 28th, Clarksville Police Officer George Goodman was dispatched to America’s Best Value Inn at 254 Holiday Drive in regard to drugs. According to the affidavit, Officer Goodman located Stacy Brooks around the back of the business in the driver’s seat of a silver Buick with passenger Brian Wilmeth.

After being taken into custody a search of her person revealed a glass pipe and scale. The probable cause search of the car produced an amount of cannabis in a Crown Royal pouch, a glass pipe, and a pack of cigars.

Stacy Sue Brooks was arrested and charged with escape, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. Her total bond was set at $35,000.
