29-year-old Kristen Krouser was charged with domestic assault after she had appeared to “act crazy” and punched her grandmother in the head in response to an earlier altercation with another family member.

On November 4th, Clarksville Police Officer Ronald Brown reported to a residence, 316 Hamstead Court, because of a possible domestic altercation. Officer Brown stated that Kristen Krouser was sitting on the front porch of the residence and was visibly upset. Krouser stated that she had been assaulted by family members and they were “all going to jail.” As other officers arrived on the scene, Officer Brown spoke to Violet Smith, Krouser’s grandmother.

Smith stated that she told Krouser that she needed to calm down after having an altercation with a family member, who was not on the scene. Krouser was told if she did not calm down that she needed to leave the residence. Smith stated that Krouser punched her in the head. The officer’s report stated that there were two witnesses to the altercation. Cornelia Jones, Krouder’s mother, stated that her daughter was “acting crazy,” but she did not see the assault. The other witness, John Smith, stated that he saw Violet Smith be struck in the head by Krouser.

Kristen Krouser was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,500 bond with conditions.
