Blazer man found with weed and meth after being stopped for his license plate border

33-year-old Anthony Adkins was charged with meth violation, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, and improper display of plates when a Montgomery County officer stopped him for a plastic border around his plate.

On May 26th, Montgomery County Deputy Josh Wilson stopped a Chevy Blazer on Dover Road near Woodlawn Church Road for having a plastic border around the license plate. According to the affidavit, the deputy immediately smelled marijuana when speaking with the driver Anthony Adkins.

Officer Wilson conducted a probable cause search which yielded 69 grams of cannabis separated into 9 bags and located in a crown royal bag, 8.5 grams of meth, two scales, twelve empty plastic bags, a grinder, a pipe, and a plastic container with meth residue. Adkins’ license was revoked in 2014 for failure to comply with financial responsibility.

Anthony Adkins was arrested and charged with meth violation, possession of marijuana, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, and improper display of plates. He is jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
