Woman charged with domestic assault after hitting hand of boyfriend recording her during argument

36-year-old Jasmin Robertson is charged with domestic assault after both she and her boyfriend called police over an argument during which she was attempting to get him to leave the residence. In the end, she was the one leaving the residence – in handcuffs.

On the 2nd of January, officers responded to a domestic violence call on Hickory Trace Road. The defendant, Jasmin Robertson, and the victim, Larry Polk, are dating and reside together. Both of these individuals called into dispatch regarding their disagreement. Jasmin wanted Larry to leave and he refused as they boh resided there, but when officers arrived he was walking around outside ready to tell his side of the story.

Larry told police that he had been assaulted by Jasmin and that he had video evidence to prove it. Larry played the video he had on his phone for the officers and it showed him in the living room prior to the officer’s arrival. As the video played, it showed Jasmin yelling at Larry to leave but then she approached him and hit him on the hand that he was using to hold the phone. Jasmin was then charged and transported to booking.

Jasmin Robertson was charged with domestic assault and has posted a $500.00 bond.
