NEW DETAILS: Peachers Mill Rd Triple Shooting

NEW DETAILS: Here’s what we know about Tuesday morning’s shooting of 3 people on Peachers Mill Road…

Clarksville Police responded to a shooting in progress around 9:15 am.  When officers arrived, they found a male and female outside of the Peachers Mill Rd residence that had sustained gunshot wounds. Officers were given a description of a Ford Taurus which left the scene of the shooting. Officers flooded the area and the vehicle was quickly located in the front yard of a Leigh Ct residence.

A perimeter was set up shutting down Peachers Mill Rd between Carter Rd and Pine Mountain Rd as well the area surrounding Leigh Ct.  Also, CPD’s Tactical Team and Crisis Negotiators were called out.  Montgomery County Deputies worked in conjunction with CPD maintaining the perimeter and traffic control.

A male was found in the backyard of a residence at Leigh Ct and detained. The investigation has revealed the male in his late 20s, in a Ford Taurus pulled into the driveway of the Peachers Mill Rd residence. There were a man and woman, both in their 30s, standing outside of the vehicle interacting with the man in the Taurus.  At some point, a gunfire exchange took place and the Taurus was quickly backed out of the driveway and fled from the scene.  Witnesses helped officers track down and locate the Taurus on Leigh Ct.  The man in his 20s did not live at the Leigh Ct residence and was found in the backyard of a Leigh Ct residence.

The finer details are still being determined.  Police have all individuals involved in the confrontation and are not looking for anyone else.  All three individuals that were shot were transported to the hospital with all appearing stable at the time. The man and woman from Peachers Mill were treated and released.  The 20-year-old remains hospitalized with a non-life threatening injury.

There were other vehicles struck by gunfire from the shots fired at Peachers Mill Rd but no other person was injured. Peachers Mill Rd was blocked off for about 6 hours.
