70-year-old man gets 73rd charge in Montgomery County

A man came home to find 70-year-old Henry Crawley sitting in his vehicle on January 2nd. Henry, who said he was looking for cigarettes, is charged with felony burglary. He is jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle, and no cigarettes were smoked.

Police responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle on Kraft Street. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the complainant, John Hamilton. John stated that when he came home he found someone sitting inside his vehicle. He went on to say that he made contact with the person inside his vehicle, later identified as Henry Crawley, who was still sitting in the passenger seat and that he told John he was looking for cigarettes.

The officer then made contact with Henry who corroborated John’s story, as he admitted to being in the vehicle looking for cigarettes since the vehicle was unlocked. Afterward, the officer spoke with John and his wife and they both confirmed that nothing was taken from the vehicle. Henry was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Henry Crawley was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond. This is his 73rd charge in Montgomery County.
