Man admits to crime as officer walks away

19-year-old Cole McNicholl was charged with DUI and lights required on a motor vehicle after police pulled him over for not having his headlights on.

On February 8th, police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Wrangler on Providence Boulevard for driving without headlights on. Officer Creech then made contact with the driver who was identified as Cole McNicholl. The officer reported that Cole had bloodshot eyes and asked him if he would perform a standard field sobriety test, in which Cole complied and performed poorly.

Cole then consented to a breathalyzer test and as the officer was walking away, Cole said that he needed to speak with him and proceeded to tell the officer that he “was at his buddy’s house smoking marijuana not drinking.” Cole McNicholl was then arrested and charged with DUI and Lights Required on Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at $2,500.
