Clarksville teachers can bring their children to work – if they promise to not sue the district if they catch #COVID19 while there

Clarksville / Montgomery County School System employees can bring their children to work with them as they return to work to prepare for the upcoming school year – if they promise to not sue the district if they catch #COVID19 while there.

In an agreement published earlier this week and distributed to employees, the school system will allow children between the ages 5 – 12 to come to work with their parent employed by the system, if they have no other child-care available. The child must wear a mask when in common areas, among other restrictions.

The parent employee must agree to accept all responsibility if the child contracts #COVID19 while on school property, and agree to hold CMCSS harmless, and give up all rights to sue, should the child be diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The contract is valid from August 7 – 27, 2020. The first half-day of school is currently scheduled for August 31st, 2020. A full copy of the agreement is below.
