Woman stops husband from leaving a reportedly physical fight by standing behind his car

30-year-old Jasmine Ells was charged with domestic assault after reportedly slapping and pushing her husband then preventing him from leaving their home.

On November 14th, Clarksville Police Officer Colin Adair met with Charles Bernard at Walmart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Charles had made the call to officers to meet away from his residence at 685 Oliver Loop, where the incident took place. Charles reported an argument between him and his wife Jasmine Ells where she was slapping and pushing him.

When he tried to leave in his vehicle, she stood behind it and prevented him from being able to leave. After he was able to leave, he then contacted officers to meet him at Walmart. When Adair made contact with Jasmine back at their residence, she claimed that a verbal argument took place. She stated that it never escalated to anything physical. Jasmine was then taken into custody.

Jasmine Ells was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She has since been released on a $500 bond.
