Woman hits utility pole, attacks EMT and deputy while intoxicated

42-year-old Jennifer Parrish was charged with two counts of assault, driving under the influence, and failure to exercise due care after reportedly slamming into an electrical pole, attacking medical staff, and kicking a deputy while intoxicated.

On November 27th, State Trooper Wallace arrived at the scene of a crash with injuries at the intersection of Highway 76 and Little Hope Church Road. According to the report, a blue Subaru Outback ran off the right side of the road after striking an electric pole. Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies and Clarksville Police officers informed Trooper Wallace the driver of the car, Jennifer Parrish, had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and person.

The trooper was also informed that she hit an EMT with her arms and legs and attempted to bite his arm. Contact was attempted with her, but emergency medical services had to sedate her for everyone’s safety. When they arrived at the Sango emergency room, the trooper noted Jennifer’s slurred speech and her bloodshot, watery eyes. A search warrant was obtained and a blood draw was conducted. While being booked at the Montgomery County Jail, Jennifer kicked a deputy twice.

Jennifer Parrish was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, driving under the influence, and failure to exercise due care. She was later released on a $25,000 bond.
